Dr Donna Otabachian heads Ranch Good Days, a volunteer-led organization with a
remarkable and an unselfish plan to help teen girls in need.
Dedicated to the needs of the children, Dr
Donna leads in the effort to promote the awareness of the challenges orphaned
and needy teen girls face. Her dream and
sacrifice is based on the lives of the many children she has helped throughout
North America.

While
developing the group ranch-home facility, Dr Donna is currently a
licensed foster care parent for some very special young ladies. These
five teen girls live with Dr Donna and her 13 year old daughter
Jaclyn. Here, they get first hand experience with the pioneering
concepts behind the makings of the Texas Girls Ranch. While attending,
girls are immersed with nature and animals in both their studies and
everyday activities. RGD horses, canines, and felines inspire our girls
to develop respect and understanding for the animals they work with.
Many of the ranch's animals are those rescued from neglect, abuse and
abandonment. In addition, Dr Donna works with them individually and is
preparing them as they strive to graduate from high school and pursue
their dreams in higher education.
Of the 35 foster children Dr Donna has
cared for, many have achieved High Honor Roll status, won scholarships
and have transitioned into full, successful independence. Some of the
universities and colleges Dr Donna has helped open doors for girls
includes Colorado State University, Trinidad State Junior College, West
Texas A&M, Colorado Mountain College, Institute of American Indian
Arts and Berkley. |
In the Texas Girls Ranch program, teen girls will live full time, until they age out into college or career trade school. RGD
stands for a long term commitment to achieve specific
outcomes, assisting girls to become faith-aware, and knowing of Christ's
love; enabling girls to avoid risk behaviors and transition,
successfully, into schools, workplaces or return home when their family
situation improves.
